ABOUT
Who Am I?
“In a world increasingly shaped by artificial systems, human truth will only grow more valuable, more contested, and more urgent to protect.”
Lauren Lindberg is a mythic nonfiction filmmaker exploring the psyche, the feminine shadow, and the systems that shape our lives. Her work blends documentary storytelling with psychological and mythological inquiry, creating immersive, sensory-driven films that externalize internal experience.
Over the past five years, she has developed Fall of the Phoenix, a feature-length magical realism documentary examining brain injury, justice, and transformation. The project has been built through long-term collaboration with participants, who act as creative partners in shaping the visual language of their stories. The film has received support from From the Heart Productions, where it was awarded the inaugural Impact Grant.
Alongside her independent work, Lauren has produced over 50 short documentaries and multiple docuseries, with her work screening at over 80 film festivals worldwide and reaching more than 20 million viewers online. Her background in large-scale nonfiction production informs her ability to bridge cinematic artistry with strategic execution.
Lauren is the co-founder of Mythic Studios and Feral Films, where she is developing a body of work that pushes the boundaries of nonfiction through myth, collaboration, and innovative storytelling forms.
