When a sheltered young woman discovers a siren bathing in the river behind her family’s manor, she’s drawn into a haunting confrontation with identity—blurring fantasy and selfhood as she awakens to the power she was taught to fear.
About the Project
She Was Water is a mythic, sensual short film currently in development. Set in a timeless, dreamlike world, the story explores feminine awakening, desire, and embodiment through the encounter between a young woman and a siren who mirrors everything she has been conditioned to repress.
