Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

We as humans love story. We’ve been telling them for tens of thousands of years — painted on cave walls long before there was neuroscience or psychology to study our behavior. Storytelling is our first language. Mythology is our psyche. It’s the blueprint of the human experience, the way we’ve always made sense of chaos.

We love story so much that we’ll even invent one in our own minds — like why our partner forgot the eggs at the grocery store. Some stories aren’t healthy. Others can change the world.

That’s what I’m hoping to do through the Heroine’s Journey.

For decades, cinema has been filled with the Hero’s Journey — the external search for self, the battle against dragons, villains, empires, and galaxies. And those stories are beautiful, vital, and needed. But just as important is the Heroine’s Journey — the internal search for self, the descent into the underworld within, and the sacred return to wholeness.

And it’s not just about gender. Hero and Heroine are energies. One is about conquering the outer world. The other is about embracing the inner one. Both exist in all of us. Both matter.

Through my films, I want to create immersive, vulnerable, decadent worlds — lush and stylized, but also deeply human. Stories that enchant viewers while leaving them with meaning. Stories that remind us that challenges aren’t just obstacles, but portals: invitations to emerge wiser, fuller, and more whole. The journey itself is holy.

Women deserve stories that reflect this path. We deserve our Lord of the Rings, our Star Wars. Mythic adventures that don’t just show us fighting to win, but daring to descend, heal, and transform.

That’s the cinema I’m building. And I invite you to walk with me on this journey.
